Well I am now working on Cody with His Obed. After talking to Richard about ways to help Cody get better, and work up to his Dog on Dog Aggression. Can't wait for that, I want to get him in to Agility or Flyball so bad!

 We are doing Clicker Trainging with Cody. Only we use a flashlight instead of clicker, and his treat is cut up hotdogs!

 We are working right now on the waiting game.. I am not giving Cody ANY commands. I sit there with the light in one hand treat in the other and wait until he decides to sit, and as soon as he sits he gets a light/treat. Sometimes he's good at this, other times i'm waiting for about 5-10 mins while he sleeps standing up. I am also working on  Healing with Cody, with the intentions of not having to use a GL on him. For this I simply walk a few steps and when cody gets to the point i want him at, he gets a light/treat. that  is going pretty well.

I guess I shoudl explain WHY i'm not giving any commands to Cody. He's not doing them 100% anymore, not even 90% right now. So Richard said to wait until he does something 95% of the time THEN and only then do i give it a command. It's hard but seems to be wroking well!!

Cody gets 4-10 mins Sessions a day. I will keep you updated everyday on his progress..

 Cody seems to be getting better with the Sit with no command. He has picked up VERY fast that when he sits and that lights goes off that there is a treat to follow! I never would have thought  of using a flash light to train him! But it has worked out GREAT.  Cody is now starting to not wait as long on the sits with no command, which is good becuase it gets old sitting there watching yoru dog be stubborn and  fall asleep while standing! We are taking things a little slow today, as this last weekend Cody was stepped on, and I think noticed later that night that the pad is comming off his foot. So he has it wrapped up , and not happy abuot it. Right now he wont come near me when he see's me grab the wrapps and gauze.. poor guy.. I hope that he's feeling better soon!!

Cody's foot is much better now, so we are focasing back on trainging, still doing really good and i'm starting to give him the SIT command and he will do it the 1st time i sign, where as before it was a few times i'd sign, and if he felt like it he'd sit. Still doing really great on the Healing also! he looks forward to the training sessions and let me tell you, he knows what times he has them and is sitting there waiting for me!
